Come to Baker’s Field in Wilmington, VT and celebrate early with the family! Starting at 6 pm there will be a BBQ, live entertainment: featuring “Jacksonville Blues Band”, cotton candy, ice cream, games for the kids and vendors. Fireworks will immediately follow at approximately 9:15 pm. Rain date: July 7th. The fireworks are sponsored by the Mount Snow Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Town of Dover & the Town of Wilmington. The MOOver has again generously signed up to offer a Park & Ride to and from these free parking locations to help with traffic delays on Rt 9 & 100 in downtown Wilmington.
Route 100, West Dover –Wilmington Departs the Health Center at the top of the hour 7:00 am – 8:00 pm every 60 minutes. The last northbound bus to Mount Snow leaves the Health Center at 8:00 pm. The 8:30 pm MOOver leaving Mount Snow goes only as far as the High School and will not continue on to the Health Center. The last southbound MOOver from Mount Snow is 8:30 pm. Extra MOOvers will wait at the High School until the fireworks are over, and then will travel north to Mount Snow. These buses have a brown 7 on them and say Wilmington-Dover and they will not stop at the Howe Farm park and ride lot.
Park & Ride North of Wilmington There will be a park and ride lot at the Howe Farm about three miles north of Wilmington from 5:00-9:00 pm. Park there and ride the special buses to the High School that have a green A on them and say Special. Look for the same bus on your return trip. After the fireworks, DO NOT get on the Route 100 MOOver buses with the brown 7 on them as these will not stop at the Howe Farm field!
Park & Ride West of Wilmington There will be a park and ride lot at the Deerfield Valley Supply (W&W) about one mile west of Wilmington from 5:00-9:00 pm. Park there and ride the special buses to the High School that have a Black C on them and say DV Supply.
Park & Ride for Chimney Hill There will be a park and ride lot at the new Town of Wilmington garage in Chimney Hill on Haystack Road. Park there from 5:00 – 9:00 pm and get on the bus in front of the Green Mountain Power building.
