US Capitol Christmas Tree Cutting - Bennington area

November 16: Cutting Ceremony in the Forest: Important Spokespersons and community members will join together to bring down the tree. Our local school children will receive additional lessons on the history of the forest and local ecology. After much memorializing and hard work we will celebrate with refreshments and congratulations all around.

November 19th: Bennington Send Off of the Caravan: To be held at the Vermont Veterans' Home in Bennington, Vermont. Our Governor will be invited to speak. We will donate and light a beautiful tree on the grounds and dedicate our trip to all our veterans. This is a big event as we officially send our gift to the nation on its way.
