Kids in the Country Child Care and Preschool, Inc. is a small, non-profit childcare center licensed by the State of Vermont to serve children 6 weeks to 14 years of age. In 1977 KITC became the first licensed center in the area and is currently the only non-profit agency within 20 miles providing year-round care for the working families of our community, as well as, vacationers, and second homeowners on a drop in basis.
Our mission is to provide a well-rounded child care center for the children and families visiting and residing in our community. We provide the essential components of a structured childcare program to nurture, educate, and support the growing minds and bodies of each child with respect to the individual.
Our staff is strongly dedicated to serving our children, families, and community by recognizing the importance of incorporating all of these components into our quality care.
All of our programs are well staffed, planned and developmentally appropriate. Our teachers provide many fun and educational activities both indoors and outdoors to foster growth, community and self. We provide before and after school care, a morning preschool program with the option of extended hours for families working all day, an infant and toddler program as well as summer enrichment activities.
