Since 1984, Steve Tworig and his wife Pam have operated North Branch Landscape, where they specialize in growing unusual trees and shrubs, landscape design, installation, tree care, and commercial maintenance. Steve, Pam and their son, Steven IV reside in Stamford, VT on the 20-acre nursery site.
Long History of Service to the Green Industry: Steve is a member of the New England Nursery Association and Vermont Association of Professional Horticulturalists Boards of Directors, and he is former chairman of the New England Nursery Certification Council. He is a Certified Vermont Horticulturalist and holds licenses in Vermont and Massachussetts for pesticide application. He also holds Arborist certification through the International Society of Arboriculture.
Steve earned his B.A. in Biology from North Adams State College (now known as Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts). In 1998, he was the recipient of the Young Nursery Professional of the Year Award. This most prestigious and distinguished honor issued by the VAPH is given to individuals connected to the Vermont horticulture industry whose accomplishments have advanced the industry educationally, by plant development or growing, through literature, or through outstanding personal effort.
Today, Steve continues to develop his knowledge in the fields of Arboriculture and Horticulture to provide you the best service and the education and support you need to make the most sound decisions for your landscape needs.
