Inntopia FAQs

What if I’m already using Inntopia, how do I get listed on the Chamber’s availability?

The Chamber offers this service to its members.  If you are not a member, we strongly encourage you to become one.  Our website has 25,000 – 30,000 unique visitors each month, with lodging being the number one most visited category.  For information on membership, please contact Megan in our office.

What if I am not currently using Inntopia?

There is no cost to the “suppliers” who are not currently using this software.  There is customer service staff available for training to use the software.  Properties will be able to set up profiles through the Inntopia. Once set up, it will be the properties responsibility to keep the rates current.

I am not familiar with the Inntopia Software, how do I learn to use it?

Inntopia has a dedicated Customer Care staff available for training between 9AM and 8PM, Monday-Friday and 10 AM to 6PM Saturday & Sunday.  Training sessions can have you using managing your Inntopia account in as little as 1 hour.

What if I am already listed with Mount Snow Central Reservations?

If you are already listed with Central Reservations, you MUST be maintaining your own rates to be included on the visitvermont.com website for online booking.  If you would like to maintain your rates, and do not currently do so, contact central reservations and let them know that you are interested.  On the Chamber website, maintaining information, rates, pictures, and packages will be the sole responsibility of the lodging property.

Disclaimer

Each property owner will be required to sign a disclaimer that says Mount Snow Central Reservation will no longer be maintaining their rates.  This can be done at anytime.  Once this is has happened, your property can then be available to receive online bookings at the visitvermont.com website.

Why is the Chamber implementing online booking?

Many members have asked us to.  With majority of the members already have an Inntopia account; this is an additional door we are opening to their online inventory.  With lodging currently being the most viewed category on the visitvermont.com website, this will expand it from being informational to a full functioning service where visitors can book their reservations safe and securely.

Cancellations

Cancellations are handled a number of ways. The consumer can contact the property to cancel.  The property cancellation policies take into effect.  Should the property decide to change the status of the room back to available, they need to log into Inntopia and record the cancellation.  The consumer could always cancel through the visitvermont.com website by using their email address and itinerary number given at time of booking.

Credit Card Process

When a viewer books online through the visitvermont.com website, the booking goes through Inntopia’s secure system.  The property will receive both a fax and email with the booking details, including credit card information to process for payment.  Properties will process these as a normal credit card transaction.

What is the commission rate percentage is taken from properties that use this software?

The lodging properties will receive a commission bill from Inntopia based on the check-ins from the previous month.  The commission rate is 10%.  Bills are net 30, and payment is sent to Inntopia.
