Skeets Richards is a man of many talents. A now retired science teacher from Adams MA, a semi professional blue grass banjo player and a painter of extraodinary landscapes and still lifes. Richards has been painting right along with teaching for thirty years. Since his retirement 5 years ago, painting has become his profession and his passion. A man with an inquisitive mind, Richards has studied with the best painters and teachers on the East Coast. His work reflects a deep respect for tradition and tenets of Realism. Richards new landscape series at Gallery Wright in Wilmington Village are panoramic landscapes of rural New England. Gallery Wright is also showing Richards still lifes. Poetic, rustic and intriguing, Richards still lifes engage your senses.
Gallery Wright officially welcomes Skeets Richards to the our rooster of artists this Friday night during the village stroll. Skeets will be 'on the porch' from 5-8pm with a painting he is working on and his banjo. Please stop by and say hello, watch a master at work on a painting and enjoy his music also.
