Hooray for the taste of summer!
May 16th, 2015
Another great weekend in the Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley and we are enjoying all of the seasonal businesses that are opening up this weekend. The Wilmington Antique and Flea Market is ready and open for business today and will continue to operate weekends through mid-October. Probably the most exciting news for children and their parents and of course foodies is that our two favorite places to snag a delicious soft serve have opened this weekend.
Wahoo’s Eatery located on Route 9 in Wilmington is a great place to stop and enjoy a soft serve creemee, and of course their amazing line up of sandwiches. This isn’t your average burger stand! Two stand outs on their menu are the Garlic Bacon Bonanza Burger and the Mabel, a patty melt with cheddar, grilled apples, carmelized onions and aioli sauce. Open Daily from 11:30am-8pm
Heading up the road towards Dover you will find the Creemee Stand on Route 100 between Twice Blessed and the Roadhouse restaurant.
“Our Signature Vermont Maple, flavored with Syrup produced only in Wilmington, VT, has earned the status as one of only four locations in the State of Vermont as serving the "absolute best Maple Creemee" -Edible Green Mountains Magazine. “
If you have not ever experienced a maple creemee or better yet the twist of black raspberry and maple creemee that is offered at the Creemee stand, stop in today for this delicious treat. Open Daily from noon-8pm.
Cheers for the sweetest taste of summer!
