DESCRIPTION:Beginners and experienced relief printmakers are welcome to join us for this fun\, 3-hour class. \nLearn to cut a linoleum block and print multiples on paper! Linocut printmaking is a fun and simple way to create your own relief prints.  Once you have carved a block\, it can be used again and again. \nIn this class\, we will cover the basics: image preparation and transfer methods\, sharpening and care of tools\, carving methods\, paper and ink preparation\, color-mixing\, rolling out ink with brayers\, registration techniques\, printing on a portable press and by hand. \nWe will print with non-toxic\, water-soluble inks.  Linoleum cutters\, brayers\, pencils and other tools will be available to borrow for the class period. \nChildren are welcome with an accompanying adult – just be aware that the cutting tools are sharp!
