SUMMARY:Friends of  Historic Memorial Hall Present:  Bearly Dead Performing Europe '72
DESCRIPTION:Friends of  Historic Memorial Hall Present:  Bearly Dead Performing Europe ’72 \nDoors 7:30 PM\n\nShowtime 8:00 PM\n\nAll Ages\n\nOn its 50th Anniversary\, November 5\, 2022\, Bearly Dead will cover Europe ’72 in its entirety at Historic Memorial Hall in Wilmington\, VT! The band will bring their own unique spin to the classic album\, reimagining the songs and jams like you’ve never heard before! \n  \nReleased on November 5\, 1972\, Europe ’72 is a live triple album showcasing highlights from the Grateful Dead’s tour of Western Europe in April and May of that year. It became one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed albums by the Dead\, and it was one of the first triple-record rock albums to be certified gold by RIAA. The album has since been certified double platinum. It was the first Dead album to include pianist Keith Godchaux and vocalist Donna Jean Godchaux\, and the last to feature founding member Ron “Pigpen” McKernan\, who died shortly after its release. \n  \nBearly Dead is an all-star cast of players with deep roots in the New England jam & festival scene. While the band plays all of The Grateful Dead classics\, they also dive into an extended catalog\, which may include any song that any member of the Dead ever performed. With over 230 songs in rotation and new material being added all the time\, Bearly Dead performs wildly different set lists every night and ensures that each show is a unique experience. With no designated “Jerry” or “Bobby”\, this band is able to breathe new life into songs with their fresh\, high-energy approach to them. Bearly Dead is a setlist-nerd’s dream!!! \n  \nGet your tickets here \n

SUMMARY:Blayney Colmore Author Event at Bartleby's Books
DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, November 17th at 6pm\nBLAYNEY COLMORE\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSave the Date for an event with one of our favorite people\, Blayney Colmore. His latest book\, I Reserve the Right to be Terrified: A Long Life\, explores the journey of life. Blayney is a retired Episcopal minister who splits his time between Jacksonville\, VT and La Jolla\, CA. About the book: Blayney Colmore\, thirty years an Episcopal priest and life escort\, explains: Does death make hash of all our efforts? Is there a dimension beyond what we know? Can normal people access it? As we burn down our culture’s best achievements can we do something more useful than mourn? Come along on this holy roller coaster. You may recognize the highs and lows: baptism\, marriage\, burial\, hitting for the cycle\, from tomb to portal\, an assassinated seminary classmate\, close friend with Watergate criminals\, an African odyssey\, divorce\, remarriage — all in the shadow of inevitable\, impending death.\nPre-order online here.
