BLUEBERRY FESTIVAL EVENTS!!!

Friday, July 25 – August 3, 2014: Vermont's 7th Annual Deerfield Valley Blueberry Festival Berries, vintage cars, music, food and tarp displays; if it’s blue, it’s probably happening in the Mount Snow area towns of Wilmington, Jacksonville/Whitingham, Searsburg, Marlboro, and Dover. Visitors to the Valley will find children’s activities, jam making, blueberry themed specials in the local eateries, blue music events, a blue car auto show, blueberry bake sales, blue beer, there will be many events over this 10day festival. Contest for Blue-Inspired Spectators at the Blueberry Festival Parade “The Wearin’ of the Blue” Contest for blue-inspired spectators during the Blueberry Parade. Get your family, clan, blue friends or foe’s all together and give us what you’ve got!!! (e-mail the chamber a photo of your group at the parade – events@visitvermont.com – to share on our website  ) then meet at the Chamber booth at the Craft Fair on the green of the Dover Forge/One More Time Restaurant . Blueberry Ball at Summit of Mount Snow. 7:00 Join us for a night of Hors d’oeuvres and dancing! Proceeds benefit “Jessica’s Closet” a nonprofit created in memory of Jessica Bolognani. Blueberry Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the Deerfield Valley Rotary 8:00 am to 11:00 am Enjoy a delicious fresh blueberry pancake breakfast featuring VT maple syrup and assorted breakfast meats.  This year we will be serving at Twin Valley Elementary, so come join us for a wonderful family breakfast, and then step out and enjoy the Blueberry Festival Parade.  Like past years, the Breakfast is free, but donations are always welcomed to help support our community funding efforts.

4th Annual Blueberry Festival Craft Fair highlighting Green Industry Products in Dover 10:00 am to 2:30 pm A blend of craftspeople sure to beat the blues, on the green at the Dover Forge/One More Time establishment, Rt 100, West Dover VT.

 The 28th Annual Time Line Event 10 AM – 5 PM & Sunday, July 27, 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM  (a walk through different re-enactor camps in history from 3rd Century Rome to the modern day) kicks off the season on Route 100 at the Dover Forge in West Dover. The event generally hosts as many as 20 different camps and over 100 re-enactors for a fun filled day or two of educational displays, talks and demonstrations. From cooking, to surgery, and from the school room to the battlefield it is all here in authentic as well as authentically reproduced gear, clothing and props. Admission is free but donations are accepted to defray event costs.
