Fall Foliage Tracker

Fall is one of the most magical times to visit Southern Vermont. Check back here for regular updates on the status of foliage in the area.

Update Friday, October 11, 2024:

While there is still plenty of peak colors to be seen, winds in the last 24 hours have stripped a lot of trees especially in the higher elevations where the colors changed the earliest. The fallen leaves are leaving a beautiful fall carpet on the ground that complements the colored trees for a perfect autumn feeling but it is also a reminder that the season is short. All areas still have colors to be seen, but the best views are from elevated positions with south facing views such as Hogback overlook.

So DO NOT WAIT. If you want to see the best colors we can’t stress enough to visit this weekend as Mother Nature can make it all come to an abrupt end with a windy day or some rain.

Happy fall!!! 🍁
