Fall Foliage Tracker

Fall is one of the most magical times to visit Southern Vermont. Check back here for regular updates on the status of foliage in the area.

Update Tuesday, October 1, 2024:

It is official – peak foliage season is finally here! Driving around the valley you can find vibrant reds, yellows, and oranges everywhere. While there is still some green still yet to change, some of the earliest changing trees have already been dropping their leaves so we are right in that sweet spot of plenty of color in the trees with the beginnings of a nice fall carpet coating the ground.

Things can change very quickly and as the season progresses one big rain storm or windy day can take us from peak to nothing in a matter of hours, so we always recommend playing it safe and being a little more on the greener side is better than waiting too long.

Happy fall!!! 🍁
