Fall Is Already Starting to Peek Around the Corner
Labor Day weekend is the unofficial swing from summer to fall in Southern Vermont—and the trees are starting to get the memo!
We’re still about 98% green, but more and more hints of fall are starting to pop up, with reds especially making an early appearance. There’s plenty of summer left to enjoy, but those first flashes of color are a reminder that peak foliage season is just around the corner.
Typically, the best foliage viewing in the Deerfield Valley runs from mid-September through mid-October, with peak color often arriving around the end of September into the beginning of October. Of course, every year is a little different, and Mother Nature is the one calling the shots!
