Fall Foliage Update: Peak is Past but Foliage Isn’t Over

Peak foliage has come and gone in the higher elevations of the Deerfield Valley, but the fall color season is far from over! The lower elevations are still showing off some beautiful autumn color, and there’s still plenty of scenery to enjoy throughout the region.

Even better, our neighbors to the east and west, including Brattleboro and Bennington, are just entering the early stages of their peak foliage. That makes this a great time to take a scenic drive along Route 9, where you can watch the landscape transform as you descend from the higher elevations of the Green Mountains toward the valleys below.

From lingering bursts of color in the Deerfield Valley to fresh foliage displays farther east and west, autumn still has plenty to offer. Don’t put away your fall plans just yet—there are still beautiful views waiting around every bend!
