A short, energetic, family hike to a backcountry peak thats close to town.
Directions to trailhead: Route 91 to exit 3. Take Route 5 (Putney Rd) south toward Brattleboro. After roughly 1/4 mile make right onto Black Mountain Road. Stay on Black Mountain Road for several miles. It makes many turns.
Stay left at junction with Dutton Farm Rd. Entrance is on left about a mile after junction with Dutton Farm Rd. Park on the shoulder but do not block gate.
