Movie Theater Now Showing The Invite
The Invite, which was well-received at the Sundance Film Festival with a standing ovation, opens this Friday, July 31, with a one-week run. A genuinely humorous and intelligent film about long-term adult relationships, the excellent cast (Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde, Penelope Cruz, and Edward Norton) and smart screenplay have earned it a 92% Verified HOT audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. Please note the 4:20pm matinee time on Saturday and Monday.
Dust to Malibu, which won three of its five nominations for excellence on the film festival circuit, should follow, opening Friday, August 7, with a one-week run. A touching and rewarding film about reconciliation between an estranged father and his daughter on a road trip from Missouri to the Pacific coast, the film also possesses comedic elements and twists and turns, making for an audience pleaser. Vermont’s own, Tim Daly, stars as the dad.
The Rivals of Amziah King, should follow. The film, starring Matthew McConaughey and Kurt Russel, has earned a 97% “Certified Fresh” critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. Set in the backwoods of rural Oklahoma, the story blends thriller/heist elements with comedy and a strong sense of community into a rewarding, heartfelt film.
